How to get there
Public Transport
The centre is located 14km from Kempsey and there is no public transport available. The centre operates a courtesy bus for scheduled weekend and holiday visits from designated pick up points in Kempsey.

Visitors transport will pick visitors up from and return them to:
- Corner Middleton St & Pacific Highway 8:10am return 11:20am and 11:50am – 2:40pm
- Kempsey Railway Station 8:20am return 11:30am and 12:00pm – 2:50pm
- The Quarry Greenhills (Armidale Rd) 8:30am return 11:40am and 12:10pm – 3:00pm

Private Transport
If driving from the south, follow Pacific Highway north to Kempsey. At the Macleay River Bridge, vear left onto Belgrave Street. Continue along and across the railway lines, through the roundabout (Elbow St) , continue straight through the next roundabout, up and around the bend (River St). Continue along this road until you reach the turnoff to the Airport (Sherwood Rd). Then follow the ** below.
If driving from the north, follow the Pacific Highway south to Kempsey. Just before entering Kempsey, turn right into Second Lane. Continue along and across the railway lines (turns into North St) until reaching the end (T intersection). Turn right onto River St and continue along this road until you reach the turnoff to the Airport (Sherwood Rd). Then follow the ** below.
** Take this turn and follow the road for approx 4km until you reach the cross road. NB do not turn at any airport signs along this road, continue straight through until you reach the cross roads. Turn left at the junction (Link Road) and follow the road down for approximately 800m and you will reach the main entrance to the centre.
Car parking is available.
Visits are conducted weekends and every public holiday.
You will need to arrive 30 mins prior to allow for procedural process.
Visitor Information
Bookings:
Effective from Tuesday 17 February 2009, visits bookings will be taken from 10.00am to 12.00pm (Noon) - Tuesday to Friday. Bookings can be made by calling (02)6560-2780.
Visit Times:
Visits are conducted weekends and every public holiday
Visit sessions are Sector 1 9.00am - 11.00am and 12.30 - 2.30 pm.
Sector 2/3 (Minimum) 9.30am - 2.30pm.
All visitors are required to be inside the centre before 10.00am.
Legal Visits
Legal Visits can be booked via fax or letter to the General Manager. Fax 6560 2733. Legal visits require minimum 24hr notice.
