The NSW Department of Corrective Services is seeking to employ approximately 300 casual Correctional Officers to fill short term vacancies in a number of metropolitan correctional facilities and related areas.
Casual Correctional Officers are required to work as part of a 24 hour, 7 day a week roster. A minimum shift is 3 hours and is normally up to 8 or 9 hours. Our rosters can be flexible enough to accommodate a variety of personal commitments.
Casual Correctional Officers will be required to undertake an 11 week paid full time custodial training course at the Corrective Services Academy in Eastwood.
Important Note:Applicants are only able to apply for a position as a casual Correctional Officer once in any twelve month period.
